Cover of Feist’s 1234. I think I went off-key in a couple of parts.
Ingrid Michaelson’s The Chain cover recorded on my ASUS Transformer last night. Spur-of-the-moment singing which I did it in 1 go, no rerecords. Unfortunately the video recorder is defective that I can only record in this quality once every time I restart the tablet. Bummer huh.
Totally reminded me of Miss Katrina Teh! She asked for a cover months ago. :)
My tablet video recorder is defective. This file quality is the supposed quality for the HD option but 95% of the time, the audio turns out to be like the video below. I was only able to get this quality once and then it reverted back to the webcam quality. Singing is a little crap but the quality is def better than anything else I’ve recorded on my tablet. *cries* I feel a little embarrassed because I have to report this case using these files as examples. It’s very difficult to hit this kind of recording. It rarely appears.
Cover of Nerina Pallot’s Human
It isn’t very difficult to see why
You are the way you are
Doesn’t take a genius to realise
That sometimes life is hard
It’s gonna take time
But you’ll just have to wait
You’re gonna be fine
But in the meantime
Come over here lady
Let me wipe your tears away
Come a little nearer baby
Coz you’ll heal over
Heal over
Heal over someday
Heal Over by KT Tunstall
A little crude and speedy Northern Star (Mel C) cover. I’m happy that the file size is really small when I’m recording from my sister’s laptop.
Paperbag cover before I sleep.
Gips Cover originally by Shiina Ringo I forgot to lower the volume on the 1st part of the chorus. “Koko ni ite” exploded.
Sample from a band that I was in (for a brief time). The band didn’t end well. I wasn’t good enough for a funk band, I can only growl 1 note and I can never replace their ex. #badbreakup. :))
I made the melody for this song last week and I only got to put mock lyrics last night. Sorry excuse of a song. Credit: Album art.
You & Me by Valerie Chua
Capo 11/-1 (Not much difference w/o transpose)
Intro G C Em D C
G C Em D
Watching as I buried my two feet
In a ground that measures our defeat
Growing more shadows as I
Watch myself sink
If truth be told the world will leave no trace
Of miracles that we once made
The memory is now a dust
At the corner of my eye
C Em (line 1 & 2), C D (line 3)
I’m not that girl who’ll agree to a sentimental beating
You’re not the man who’ll beg for an outcry of forgiveness
It’s just the price I paid for another good reason
CHORUS
You and me
We’ll work it out x2
And when it’s over
We can talk about it x2
Understand me when I say
It will be okay
A million times I swallowed my own words
A picture of a thousand regrets
Then I’d realize
It is not that hard to see
(That) I am a girl who sealed her lips for you
You are a man who will plead to open them once more
It’s just the price we paid for a life we didn’t live for
CHORUS
BRIDGE
Am C Em D
Another choice I left behind
It’s over for us
Then again we can say that
It’s more than meets the eye
CHORUS
With Me by Valerie Chua
It doesn’t really have a title. Typical 90’s-sounding friendship-themed pop song for all of you and all your friends. :)) I hate writing lyrics. Credit: Album Art.
Key A (Capo 9/-3)
A E F#m D
There’s always been a time I dreamed I’d be
A little stronger
I am standing on this foreign landscape
On my own
It’s hard to be a little bit more wiser
Than what I really am (D F#m)
Then what I really am (D E)
CHORUS
Now you’re with me, we can take each other’s hands
We can leave all bad times and troubles behind
We can face tomorrow with the wind behind our backs
You don’t need to worry, baby, cause we’ll stop the pourin’ rain.
Everytime I felt fear cut through me
A little deeper
I recall that time when we’ve been looking
For some answers
In the end the journey didn’t find the love (I went out of tune here!!! Hahaha. I’m tone-deaf forever.)
The one I’m looking for (D F#m)
It’s been with you all along (D E)
CHORUS
BRIDGE
F#m C#m E D
Hold on, tomorrow might be something
F#m C#m D E
Don’t hold back, let us start a fire
CHORUS
